Ya know when they say “When one door closes…
Yep, Another door opens”.
This last couple of years have been tough, not just for me but for you too, but this last year has been especially difficult for me… no I’m not having a pity party but I’m just letting you know what’s been going on.
In December of last year I had to close because of renovations… I won’t go into the nitty gritty of it but I had to close. Another store opportunity came up and there was some excitement with both myself and the new landlady but the building interior needed some heavy duty renovations too. Unfortunately with Covid getting in the way the renos on it were virtually brought that to a halt. Anyway it’s been almost a year now that my physical storefront has been closed. In that time I have discovered that after 18 years in business being a one woman show, I’m tired of it. I’m tired of not being able to spend time with my husband, I’m tired of missing being able to go out for an evening because I have to work the next day and if I’m not there the store isn’t open. I’m tired of not being able just stay at home and doing nothing. I’m just plain tired.
So what does all this rambling have to do with me telling you all of this? Well, I just, even with all its ups and downs, can’t get the selling bug out of my system just yet. So I’m excited to say I’ll be exclusively selling on my website!!! Making this decision is like a weight being lifted off of my shoulders!! I can do what I want when I want… YAY!
I’m going to take one our bedrooms and make it into a showroom where I can display our things, just like I did at the store, for me to do videos and take photos of the products. I have a vision in my minds eye of it. I’ll take you along for the ride with me during the transformation.
At this time I will be only selling within Canada because if I sell elsewhere I’ll have to figure out duties, taxes, exchange rates for each piece and it’ just too much for my mind to absorb.
